Edna Bay is truly remote location, a great hideaway, or a small town with a nice community.
I was really impressed when I finally visited this property, and think that it is great value. Where else can you find 3.5 acres forested land with easy access? What a great deal for a vacation property!
The lot is bordered by a road on two sides, so it is easily accessible off a quiet road. The best place for a cabin is on the upper side, here you have some very nice second growth forest and a truly enchanting site, tucked among the trees (top photo). Here you can build a cabin that you can easily drive to within the township.
The lower part of the lot is wetter with some muskeg and would be difficult to develop. It is very attractive though, lots of skunk cabbage in the spring (forget the name, this is actually a very beautiful and exotic looking plant with big glossy green leaves and a strange and beautiful tall yellow flower in spring).
Most of the trees are approximately 10 years old. The low area is on the east side, with the west side higher in elevation.
Access to Edna Bay is from float plane, you can fly from Prince of Wales or Ketchikan (the same price) or you can charter a boat from Naukati to Edna Bay. This is a remote and beautiful located with reputed great fishing, and lots of peace and quiet! This is the perfect place to live your very Alaskan dream!
Owner financing is available for full price offers with a minimum of $4000 down and regular monthly payments of at least $200 a month with interest.

The other road that curves along the lower portion of the lot. There is muskeg here and less trees making the property feel more open and sunny. This would make for a great garden area if you wanted to get the site ready.
This lot really is great value. I was impressed and delighted when I visited the lot. Edna Bay is a small town that feels wonderfully at the end of the world, none of the hassles of the rat race to bother you here. This property could become your vacation hideaway from the world. Just fly in and stay, with no cell phones to bother you, you can fish and hike and dream to your heart's content. If you would like to live here, this is a small community of what I imagine are tough, self-reliant people. We met some lovely people. Meet the locals and have a cabin built (I am sure you could get some good help). Garden, raise goats and chickens or hunt, whatever your fancy, but just live! No distractions here, just the work or play that pertains to your own life!
